Referrals and Admissions

Alpha Care Services semi-independent resource welcomes referrals for care leavers through referring agencies, social services departments and youth offending teams.

Upon receipt of a completed referral form, Alpha Care will arrange an introductory placement meeting with the candidate and his/her placing authority representative at our office in order to ascertain whether our service suits their particular needs.
Alpha Care and the candidate will then be able to decide whether to accept or decline the application. Upon acceptance, a move-in date and time will be agreed.

Emergency Referrals

We will consider emergency placements to be short-term unless there is an agreement (prior to admission) for long term residency. We request that an emergency referral form be completed and returned within 24 hours of an individual being placed. During their stay, we expect emergency placements to engage with their support worker and to take part in residence meetings and activities where appropriate.
