Alpha Care Service aim is for every young person to be in either; full time education; training; apprentership, voluntary work or employment. We aim to achieve this by recognising that each person educational attainment is different and that we will need to build confidence and give support.
- finding an appropriate course.
- completing the application forms.
- preparing for interviews.
- escorting to interviews.
- monitoring progress and offering on-going support.
- working with learning difficulties.
- working with educational partners
In our experience young people social skills are limited and we use keywork sessions and role plays, as a means of improving this over a period of time by building confidence and self esteem. It is our role to support young people in having a good supportive network, which they could continue when they leave. Also, to enable young people to gain different life experiences through activities; clubs; social/cultural/religious events; personal interests and hobbies.
